Anti Defamation League Dinner Raises $1.1 Million for its Fight Against Bigotry        

 

An estimated $1.1 million was raised for the fight against anti-Semitism and bigotry of all kinds, when nearly 700 guests attended the Anti Defamation League Dinner Dec. 6 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.

ADL’s national director Abraham Foxman presented the Humanitarian Award to Joyce and Stanley Black for their commitment to the community and longtime dedication to the Anti-Defamation League. The Jurisprudence Award was given to George Rose, executive vice president and chief public policy officer of Activision Blizzard.

Keynote speaker Consul General of Israel David Siegel spoke of the challenges of Iran, the changes in the Arab world and Israel as the land of opportunities, and not just crises. Lisa Edelstein of “House” hosted the affair with musical guest Noa Dori and other speakers including Davi Cheng of the synagogue Beth Chayim Chadishim, Santa Monica Police Chief Tim Jackman and UCLA Senior Lydia Mazuryk.

Barbara and Tom Leanse and Harriet and Steven Nichols served as event co-chairs; Doretta and Jona Goldrich and Barbara ad Stanley Zax were honorary dinner co-chairs.
