Children’s Action Network Winter Wonderful

Virginia Madsen, Nia Vardalos, Lilakoi Moon Boost Wreath Sales for Children’s Action Network

Before Christmas gets here, I thought I’d post all the photos I have from Children’s Action Network’s “Winter Wonderful.”

A few have already appeared in my story on the Los Angeles Times website, but lots more are in the gallery below.

Held Dec. 3 at the Beverly Hills home of Jeanne and Anthony Pritzker with its dramatic open-to-the-skies interiors and spectacular views of the city, the annual sale of designer  wreaths raised more than $80,000 for the charity’s mission to help foster children find adoptive homes.

Although I’ve already attended three charity events at the Pritzker home, I always look forward to parties there and applaud the Pritzkers for so generously opening their home to so many good causes. (Other fundraisers were ABT’s Stars Under the Stars Gala and the UCLA Institute for the Environment’s Inaugural Gala.)

The one-of-a-kind wreaths – several of them pictured in the photo gallery below – sat on easels in rooms throughout the home. Contributors included Virginia Madsen, Lilakoi Moon, Andy Griffith, Rose Apodaca, Nina Segal, Sharon Segal, Trina Turk, Kirk Nix, Joan Ransohoff, Suzie Parkinson, Alan Chin, Shiva Rose, Tissy Eggleston, Kathleen Rosenbloom, Sigitas Sniras, Darius Gylys, and many other artists, designers and celebrities.

Nia Vardalos and Ian Gomez, Shiva Rose, Nancy Moonves, Carol Biondi, Cristan Reilly, Lucy Dahl, Shannon Rotenberg, Sydney Holland and Holly Brooks were among the 300 guests enjoying cocktails and mingling amid the wreaths.

On the event committee were Donna and Steve Antebi, Kendra and Christopher Bollenbach, Layna Silvagni Friedman and Alan Friedman, Homeira and Arnold Goldstein, Stacey and Larry Kohl, Susie and Jon Sheinberg, Lena Hermansson and Christopher Wicks, plus Diane Conn, Angela Featherstone, Natalie Gianne, Pat Kandel, Marion Laurie, David Christopher Lee, Kadi Lee, Pati Miller, Lu Parker, Shelley Reid, Anri Schroff, Claudia Teran, Mia Trudeau, Susan Woods and Dan Zelen.
