Christian Louboutin Party

Christian Louboutin celebrated 20 years of success with a star-studded 20th anniversary party and book-signing at Barneys Beverly Hills with hosts Rosie Huntington-Whiteley of “Transformers: Dark of the Moon,” Lucy Lui of “Kill Bill,” burlesque queen Dita Von Teese, Monet Mazur of “Austin Powers” and Cameron Silver, owner of the vintage boutique “Decades.”

There, too, at the Nov. 3 soiree were Lea Michele of “Glee,” Perrey Reeves of “Entourage,” and 300 of Louboutin’s loyal, enthusiastic and stylishly “well-heeled” fans.  Strutting 6-inch platforms; vintage plastic-encased “trash” mules filled with feathers, sparkles and Paris newspapers; red-soled tennis shoes; “bottines,” a.k.a. low boots; and more Louboutin styles, the crowd stayed for two hours while deejay Solange Knowles kept the crowd hopping by spinning old school rhythm and blues hits.

The designer’s long-time friend Dita Von Teese looked resplendent in studded-black stilettos; Lucy Lui wore black satin pumps and stunning Rosie Huntington-Whiteley paired leather pants with brass-decorated mules.

Cameron Silver wore an exquisite pair of brogues from the men’s collection and made the evening’s most amusing comment. “I think I have the largest collection of Christian Louboutin shoes of anyone in the room,” he said. “I could have paid my mortgage with the money I spent on them.”

The book, a pink faux leather bound volume, features photos by David Lynch and Philippe Garcia of Louboutin’s exquisite designs.  They proved so popular that many guests bought multiple copies.
