Rico Rodriguez, Nolan Gould, Lauren Conrad, Maria Canals-Barrera Dance at the Dinosaur Ball
The stars not only came out for the Dinosaur Ball, but they also brought their children. And why not? It was a family affair for the dinos, too, as the 20 full-body exhibits at the new Dinosaur Hall at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County in Exposition Park, include the rare T-Rex “growth series,” consisting of a baby, juvenile and teen Tyrannosaur.
Maria Canals-Barrera of “Wizards of Waverly Place” and David Barrera brought their daughters, Bridget, 7, and Madeleine, 5, who appeared transfixed by the giant creatures, which museum visitors can now see close-up with no pesky separating barriers. Nolan Gould and Rico Rodriguez of “Modern Family,” also attended with their real families, all spending the cocktail hour soaking up knowledge at the superb new interactive displays.
Breckin Meyer of “Road Trip,” said his daughter, Keaton, 7, visits the museum regularly, which she instantly proved by ticking off the names of her favorite dinosaurs. “I’m pretty blown away by all this,” said Gilles Marini, of “Switched at Birth,” “Sex and the City” and “Dancing With the Stars.” “My son already knows things I don’t,” added Marini who has since starred in “This” at the Kirk Douglas Theatre.
Also in the elegant crowd: Lauren Conrad and Lo Bosworth of “The Hills;” TV personality Lisa Ling, Kirsten Vangsness of “Criminal Minds,” Charlene Amoia of “How I Met Your Mother,” noted adventurer Sebastian Copeland, and dinner co-chairs Lynn Warner Brengel, Sarah Meeker Jensen and Diane Naegele.
