Gisele Bundchen Hosts Mario Testino Opening at PRISM, Joined by Miley Cyrus, Kim Kardashian, Whitney Cummings and an A-list of Artists, Models, Actors and Other Guests

An A-list of artists, models, actors and arts aficionados piled into PRISM Saturday to celebrate Mario Testino, one of the world’s most acclaimed fashion photographers, and his exhibition at the West Hollywood art gallery.

“I love L.A.,” said Testino at the Feb. 23 gallery reception. Although Testino has had exhibitions in London, Rome, Milan, Amsterdam, Edinburgh, Tokyo, Mexico City, Shanghai, Boston and New York, he said this show was his first in Los Angeles.

Gisele Bundchen hosted the private reception and after-party, along with gallery owners Jared Najjar and P.C. Valmorbida. An after-party came next, taking place in the downstairs ballroom of Suzanne Saperstein’s stunning Fleur de Lys estate in Beverly Hills. A majestic private residence, the classic formality of crystal chandeliers, gilded walls and could-covered ceiling was offset for the night with a deejay, mirror balls and a lively crowd.

Kim Kardashian stopped by the gallery early, later tweeting, “Fun night! Met 1 of my fav photographers Mario Testino!!”

Miley Cyrus stuck around for the after-party, a stand-out amid the crush on the neon-lit dance floor.

Among the many other actors, reality stars, supermodels, artists and others were Whitney Cummings, Marisa Tomei, Pamela Anderson, Radha Mitchell, Juliette Lewis, Danny Huston, Quincy Jones, Angela Lindvall, Carolyn Murphy, Dree Hemingway, Karolina Kurkova, Andre Pejic, Russell Simmons, Cameron Silver, Doug Aitken, Rosson Crow, Jared Austin, Jeffrey Deitch, J. Alexander, Liz Goldwyn, Hamish Bowles, Suzanne Saperstein, and more.

On a personal note, while I wouldn’t ordinarily report a compliment, Mario Testino called me “glamorous” when I walked into the gallery with a fur throw I tossed on to keep from freezing between car and gallery in this unusual Los Angeles cold spell. Coming from Testino, I will treasure the remark forever.

The exhibition continues at PRISM through March 30. Dom Perignon and Equipment sponsored the after-party.
