Moby to Perform for a Star-Studded Crowd at Global Green USA’s Pre-Oscar Bash

Stana Katic, Alison Sudol, Malin Akerman, Angela Lindvall, Adrian Grenier and More Expected

Global Green USA’s pre-Oscar bash is shaping up to be a star-studded affair with Stana Katic, Alison Sudol, Malin Akerman, Angela Lindvall, Adrian Grenier, Michelle Branch, Maggie Grace and others expected for a VIP cocktail party, gourmet dinner and concert by recording superstar Moby (actually a descendent of Moby Dick author Herman Melville) and a DJ set by The Crystal Method.

Always attracting generous support from Hollywood, last year’s event also attracted, among others, Helen Hunt, Ed O’Neill, Miranda Kerr and Willie Nelson.

This year’s host committee alone includes Ed Begley Jr., Orlando Bloom, Maggie Grace, Rainbeau Mars and Dylan McDermott. Chairing the event is Christopher Bently with co-chairs Alice Bamford, Sarah Meyer Simon and Christiana Wyly and founding chairs Matt Petersen and Sebastian Copeland.

Taking place Feb. 26 at the Avalon Hollywood, the party will commemorate Global Green USA’s 20th anniversary and celebrate the organization’s dedication to helping people, places, and the planet through catalytic projects, transformative policy, and cutting-edge research.

Tony Schubert of Event Eleven will produce and design the green event, promising zero waste. Dinner will consist of organic, plant-based, gourmet cuisine by Akasha restaurant, organic 360 Vodka cocktails and sustainably grown wine by J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines.

Tickets range from $125 for the concert and party to $1,250 and up for dinner and other perks. For further information, click here

Global Green USA’s signature programs include greening affordable housing, schools, neighborhoods, and cities as well as rebuilding communities — such as New Orleans and areas of New York and New Jersey — that have suffered from the impacts of climate change, sea level rise, and environmental degradation.
