Before basketball season ended this year for the Lakers, 750 partygoers hobnobbed with players at Casino Night, an Apr. 3 benefit at Staples Center for the Los Angeles Lakers Youth Foundation. For more details, read my LA Times story here and for more pictures, look for the LA Times photo gallery here.
Indulging in casino games, picture-taking and generous buffets were Ashley Tisdale of “High School Musical,” Julie Bowen of “Modern Family,” Teri Hatcher of “Desperate Housewives,” Ellen Pompeo of “Grey’s Anatomy, Kevin Connolly and Emmanuelle Chriqui of “Entourage,” Regina King of “Southland,” Ryan Rottman of “The House Bunny,” Lacey Schwimmer of “Dancing with the Stars” and Jessica Stroup of “90210,” plus Lakers owner Jerry Buss, head coach Phil Jackson, entertainment director Lisa Estrada and team members Kobe Bryant, Ron Artest, Steve Blake, Derek Fisher, Andrew Bynum, Shannon Brown, Pau Gasol, Luke Walton, Joe Smith, Devin Ebanks, Matt Barnes, Theo Ratliff and Lamar Odom, who arrived with Khloe Kardashian.
Before the party began, the Chairman’s Room hosted Mark Salling of “Glee,” Jerry Piven of “Entourage,” Victoria Justice of “Victorious,” Kyle Richards of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hill.” Having grown up in New Zealand, Anna Paquin of “True Blood,” declared basketball a sport relatively new to her, as did her co-star, husband and London native Stephen Moyer, who said, “I grew up a footballer.”
It was a star-studded day indeed. More stars spotted courtside also included Megan Fox, Brian Austin Green, Camilla Belle, Rick Fox, Laurence Fishburne, Will Ferrell and of course, Jack Nicholson.
