Ralph Lauren Spring 2013 Preview for Blue Ribbon

Blue Ribbon Members of the Music Center of Los Angeles Enjoy Sunshine, Lunch in a Sculpture Garden and a Ralph Lauren Fashion Show 

 

Carla Sands started her first year as president of the Blue Ribbon in spectacular style, by hosting a preview presentation of the spring 2013 Ralph Lauren collection. The Blue Ribbon, founded by Dorothy Chandler, is the premier women’s support group for the Music Center of Los Angeles. 

More than 200 members and their guests enjoyed the  elegant Oct. 11 luncheon, while surrounded by contemporary sculptures in the gardens of a private Bel-Air residence. Happily, the clear tent overhead merely let in the sunshine and showed off the view, although rain had threatened earlier that day. 

Neiman Marcus, Beverly Hills and Vogue Magazine presented the afternoon affair, which Sands co-chaired along with Alexandra Dwek, Constance Towers Gavin, Susanne Francis, Leslie Kavanaugh, Carolyn Powers and Eva Stern.  

Among others attending were Kimberly Marteau Emerson and her daughter, Jacqueline Emerson of “The Hunger Games,” Lynn Booth, Judith Krantz, Mallory Lewis, Sutton Stracke, Pam Banks, Lilly Tartikoff Karatz, Betty Leonard, Jenny Jones, Judi Davidson, Ricky Ring, Nancy Harahan, Carolyn Miller, Jill Baldauf, Eunice David, Diane Morton, Judy Beckmen, Joni Smith, Annette O’Malley and many more.

The Blue Ribbon Children’s Festival is the organization’s signature event, bringing 18,000 fifth-graders to the Music Center each spring to see a live performance, in many cases, for the first time.
