Survivor Mitzvah Project
Stars from stage, screen and television Are lining up to join an emergency effort to raise funds for elderly and forgotten Holocaust survivors, who are still suffering more than 70 years after the start of World War II.
The Survivor Mitzvah Project will take place Sun., Apr. 22 at the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s Museum of Tolerance, offering an evening of theater and music. Some will sing; others will lend contemporary voices to the survivors who have shared their thoughts and memories in Holocaust testimonies.
Among those scheduled to appear are Frances Fisher, Elliott Gould, Valerie Harper, Ed Asner, Lainie Kazan, Alan Rosenberg, Brenda Russell, Arnold McCuller, Randal Keith, John Kobylt and Consul General of Israel David Siegel.
