Judd Apatow’s THIS IS 40, Starring Leslie Mann, Paul Rudd and Maude Apatow, Premieres with a Jewel of an After-Party

“This is 40” premiered Dec. 12 in Hollywood with a gala after-party at the Roosevelt Hotel, sponsored by Palladium Jewelry. (See party photos in the gallery below.)

Judd Apatow wrote, directed and produced the film, which stars his wife Leslie Mann, their daughters Maude Apatow and Iris Apatow, and Paul Rudd, Megan Fox, Jason Segel and many more of today’s top talents, comedy and otherwise.

The film follows the characters Rudd and Mann originated in “Knocked Up,” who are both about to turn 40, dreading the onset of “middle age.” In this sequel, Mann’s character owns a store, which was re-created for the party, in this case with nearly $1 million worth of Palladium jewelry from 15 different designers.

In one “like mother, like daughter” moment, as her mother did in the film, Maude Apatow presided over the glittery merchandise. Guests perusing the palladium jewelry of lustrous silvery-white metal included Jennifer Coolidge of “Two Broke Girls;” Angela Kinsey of “The Office;” Kali Hawk of “New Girl” and “Bridesmaids,” and the film’s Chris O’Dowd.

The more than 50 pieces came from 15 different designers, including Jacob & Co., William Goldberg, Todd Reed, Alishan, Michele Mercaldo, Zeghani, Cynthia Renee, Pamela Froman, Sholdt, and others

More at the premiere were Seth Rogen, Lauren Miller, Aziz Ansari, Lena Dunham, Aubrey Plaza, Albert Brooks, Kimberly Shlain, David Krumholtz, Heather Locklear, Ava Sambora, Adam Fogelson, Robert Smigel, Charlyne Yi, Donna Langley, Ron Meyer and Kelly Meyer.
