Rihanna to Perform, Sheryl Crow to Receive Award: the upcoming Unforgettable Evening 2012
The Unforgettable Evening, slated for Apr. 18 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, is certainly well-named. Two years ago, Taylor Swift left an indelible impression on the assembled crowd, not only for her singing, but also for her charm in thanking honorary event co-chairs Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and their spouses for “the opportunity to say … ‘I would like to thank the Hankses and Spielbergs.’”
A benefit for the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund, this always-memorable affair typically attracts the world’s top talents and honors very special individuals. Last year, Cee Lo Green performed.
For the Unforgettable Evening 2012, the multiple Grammy Award-winning Rihanna will highlight the night, while Sheryl Crow will receive the Courage Award for her own successful battle against cancer. Glamour Magazine editor-in-chief Cindi Leive will also be honored.
Joining honorary chairs Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks, and Kate Capshaw and Steven Spielberg are the research fund’s co-founders Kelly Chapman Meyer, Anne Douglas, Quinn Ezralow, Marion Laurie and Jaime Tisch.
